Bloomington, IN (August 8, 2013) – Scientia LLC, a Bloomington, Indiana-based software development and engineering firm announced that it has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane). Scientia plans on using the CRADA to engage in mutual Research and Development projects with NSWC Crane to benefit the nation’s warfighters with advanced technical solutions. The CRADA will also provide a vehicle to facilitate commercialization of four NSWC Crane patents that have been licensed by Scientia through the lab’s leading-edge Technology Transfer Program.

“We’re extremely pleased and honored to enter into this CRADA with NSWC Crane,” said Doug McDaniel, President of Scientia. “Given our close geographic proximity and complementary strategic technical objectives, Crane is unquestionably our most important customer. We appreciate the opportunities we’ve had to partner with Crane in the past and look forward to many future successes in providing our warfighters with the best possible products, especially those that enable superior situational awareness utilizing innovative software solutions,” stated McDaniel.

In addition to supporting the Marine Corps’ Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (G-BOSS), Scientia has developed and continues to evolve an innovative Video Management System (VMS).
