BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA (January 5, 2017) – The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) announced today the hiring of Anne McCombe as full-time Project Assistant. She had previously been working part-time for the BEDC in the position.
“Anne is very bright and talented and we are excited that she has joined our team to advance employment opportunities in Bloomington and Monroe County,” expressed Lynn Coyne, President of the BEDC.
As project assistant, McCombe will manage the implementation of projects and programs related to the Bloomington Technology Partnership, Bloomington Life Sciences Partnership, B-Start, and other economic development projects of the BEDC.
“I am excited to join the BEDC staff full time” stated McCombe. “The BEDC is a wonderful organization and I look forward to working on projects to attract and maintain jobs in the Bloomington community,” stated McCombe.
McCombe, originally from Mishawaka, Indiana, recently graduated from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs where she received her graduate degree in Arts Administration. Prior to that, she received her B.S. in Kinesiology from IU. McCombe previously held the position of Economic Development Assistant for the Arts & Entertainment Commission in Nashville, Indiana. Anne has been a member of the Bloomington community for over six years.
