WASHINGTON, DC (October 02, 2018) – Bloomington Economic Development Corporation received a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award for its B-Start, a project in the category Entrepreneurship from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

 

The honor was presented at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 2, during the IEDC Annual Conference, which was held September 29 – October 3, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

“Since we started the pre-accelerator program to grow early stage startups, we have received overwhelming local support for the program. We are very thankful the IEDC recognized the B-Start program at the national level, and hope that this program can be replicated in other communities.” said Anne McCombe, Project Manager with the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation.
